I thank Kip for the frank discussion of his design. He missed the question about what he's doing for a insulator/liner though... about which I'm very curious. Kudos for trying out the silver wire solution, that sounds like a ton of work and I haven't heard of anyone else making that attempt since Arcas (if you have I would like to know about it). Re: the tip coating, is cerakote off the table? Kip you mentioned about using it for the tragic 2017 rocket, does it have a place for high-temp flights? Prefer the bbq spray paint over the cerakote? Rocket Vlogs do you have an opinion about whether cerakote is good for anything?

Working with Kip in UROC has been great! Also had the privilege of going to Black Rock for UROC launches with him a couple times and he is always helpful and happy to offer advice and answer questions. He was our prefect when I did my L2 test and cert so I got to work with him on that as well. Great guy! And Matt Dahle is an awesome photographer. Another great asset to have in UROC. He gave a presentation on taking pics of rockets at out last club meeting and he did a great job. He has taken several beautiful pics of some of my flights.

Thanks Kip!! I hope to sometime take on the Loc Terrier booster to an IRIS or Sandhawk sustainer. They are made for each other. Ive been following one guy that is doing this and the talk about possibly separate electronics in booster and routing the wiring for lighting the sustainer in a 3D cable tunnel. Maybe you guys could talk about how you would do an entry project like this for boosted high power rockets. What could be learned, what electronics you would use and the realistic altitude you could get out of it.

Putting your address on your rocket... not concerned about the rocket community having your address... but what about the lawyer of the person whose car was hit with your rocket? Any concerns about that out there? Perhaps just just your email address on the rocket? No address, name or phone number? Thoughts?

It should...I've used JB on several Mach 1 & 2 projects. I've also flown a minimum diameter 4" cardboard rocket using nothing but Elmer's Washable School Glue to Mach 1.56 (1,197 mph). I did that after one of many discussions online about what epoxy is best for supersonic flight. For most fiberglass projects, I use whatever epoxy I happen to have. Good surface prep is more important in most things than what epoxy is used.

We literally missed this by hours on our drive from New Mexico out to CA for vacation! Argh. And I have base access!
